From Fatih

"You are the person who helped me to improve my English to be a better scientist. Learning English was the first step to start for my career. I will never forget not only the time that I spent to learn English, but also I will never forget my lovely teacher, who is you. I hope you are fine and everything is going well. Take care. I always miss you.
Best Wishes.
Fatih."

The happiness this text message brought me can never be put into words...so I won't even try.

Today Was a Fairytale

I found myself listening to that Taylor Swift song all evening because that is exactly how I felt today - especially while I was working on a new movie project for my students. Words cannot express how much I love those kids. If there was a doubt in my mind that this is not the profession for me, they have erased it. It snowed today, more than I have seen it snow in a LONG time. The entire school went out to play in the snow and had a blast. I came home and built my very first REAL snowman, then began work on iMovie. I have compiled a project of all the pictures and footage I have captured thus far this semester and can't wait until I finish it in several weeks. The kids will love it. Today WAS a fairytale.

I wouldn’t have a problem with this if said switch weren’t located at a place where by instinct I flip it on every day. All I can think of is that episode of Friends where Monica has the same issue and rips holes in the walls to try to find where the wires lead…
